Marion Oaks residents invited to clear out junk, debris during annual cleanup

The Marion Oaks Community Beautification Crew is hosting its 4th Annual Community Clean Up this weekend to help residents clear out junk and debris from the neighborhood.

The cleanup event is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It will take place at the Marion Oaks Community Center Grounds, located at 294 Marion Oaks Lane in Ocala.

According to event organizers, the cleanup is open to Marion Oaks residents only. Residents are encouraged to load up their cars, trucks, and trailers with accumulated junk and debris to drop off at the community center grounds.

Participants are welcome to make as many trips as they want throughout the six-hour event window.

While organizers are encouraging the disposal of standard household junk, certain hazardous materials will not be accepted at the site. Prohibited items include pesticides, asbestos, paint, and any flammable or explosive materials.
