“I live near Liberty Middle School, Hammett Bowen, Jr. Elementary School, and Winding Oaks Elementary School. It is unsafe, as well as difficult to leave home for appointments and work due to the coming and going of cars lined up to drop off, but mostly to pick up, students. The “no parking” signs in front of our homes go completely ignored. We have a lot more children now with the excess of building of residences in this area. We need “Caution, Children” signs to hopefully slow down the traffic around these schools. We all need to be considerate of each other. One other concern: When you put a convenience store close to schools, there needs to be some way to control the trash that accumulates (empty cans, wrappers, bottles, etc.). I have lived here over 20 years and it has never looked like this. How about an agreement between the schools and the convenience stores?
