Ocala Public Library will host FEMA assistance team on Saturday 

Ocala Public Library will host representatives of the Federal Emergency Management Agency from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. The FEMA team will be available, in person, to help residents register for FEMA’s Individual Assistance Program at Headquarters-Ocala Public Library, 2720 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
Residents will have an opportunity to register for financial assistance and direct help to repair damage to their home and property caused by Hurricane Irma.
Assistance available:
– Housing assistance; temporary housing, repairs, replacement and construction.
– Personal property and other needs.
To complete registration onsite, you’ll need the following information:
– Social security number.
– Address of damaged property.
– Current mailing address and phone number.
– Property insurance information.
– Total household annual income.
– Bank information for direct deposit.
– Description of damage caused by Hurricane Irma.
Residents can also register by calling 800-462-7585 or visiting www.disasterassistance.gov.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has committed to advocating for assistance requests completed by anyone not registering in person. To be included, email your FEMA confirmation number to femahelp@marionso.com.
