A woman was stabbed to death and a man suffered stab wounds at a home in Umatilla on Monday.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to the residence in the 20900 block of SE 143rd Place at about 2:30 p.m. in reference to the stabbing of two people. The wounded man was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition late Monday night.
Major Crime detectives from the sheriff’s office responded to the home and took a suspect into custody. Their investigation is ongoing and the name of the stabbing victim hasn’t yet been released. The identity of the woman who was found dead also hasn’t been released pending notification of next of kin.
