The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying two suspects who attempted to steal close to $425 worth of merchandise from an Ocala Wal-Mart.
The items were taken from the store, located at 9570 SW Highway 200, on New Year’s Eve. When they checked out, they only scanned a few items and then exited the store without paying for the others. Loss prevention personnel confronted the couple and they left the items behind, a sheriff’s office report says.
Anyone with any information about the attempted theft or who can identify the suspects pictured is asked to call Dep. Hunter McMurray at (352) 732-8181. Those wishing to leave an anonymous tip can call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352) 368-STOP (7867). Tips can also be submitted at ocalacrimestoppers.com.
