Las Margaritas Mexican Restaurant and Gallery is not just one of the many must-try Mexican restaurants scattered throughout Ocala.
That’s because in addition to cooking up authentic Mexican cuisine, the business operates a gallery filled with art for diners and visitors to enjoy.
Located at 4414 SW College Rd, the restaurant opened a little over three and a half years ago as part of the offering at the Market Square at Heathbrook.
As Las Margaritas Mexican Restaurant namesake might suggest, the restaurant offers a slate of drinks specials “all day, every day,” including happy hour offerings for draft beers and wine.
Despite the large drink offering, the most extensive portion of the menu at Las Margaritas is by far the specials and combos. The restaurant offers five different nacho platters, over a dozen and a half appetizers, 30 lunch specials, and 40 house specials (“especialidades de las casa”).
And yet, perhaps the most enormous offering is the option to create a combo, which yields over 30,000 possible combinations (30,758 to be exact). A 13-item menu that includes burritos, tacos, and other favorites, can be ordered as a trio or as a quartet.
There is a vegetarian menu with nearly a dozen options, a kids’ menu, and a dessert menu with nearly a dozen options. Including their platos fuertes (meals), seafood options, and soft drinks, you could visit Las Margaritas thousands of times without ever eating the same items.
The dining room at Las Margaritas is colorfully decorated with a plethora of vibrant colors scattered across the walls, chairs, and tables. The bar is spacious and accommodating, and outdoor seating is an option for diners that want to enjoy the restaurant’s patio.
In addition to Las Margaritas, Pie-O-Mine & Greens, Barnes and Noble, and Edo’s, the Market Square at Heathbrook will soon welcome a new theater to join its impressive slate of businesses.
Epic Theatres is currently finishing construction on a theater in Ocala, which they hope to open sometime later this fall. Epic Theatres Ocala will be the newest addition to the company’s 12-theater chain that span’s across Florida, including one location in North Carolina.
