Shuckin Shack and Eggs Up Grill, a couple of new restaurants under construction, will join the slate of businesses at Market Street at Heathbrook in the coming months.
Both restaurants, which are located next door to each other at 4414 SW College Road, are in the beginning stages of construction.
Eggs Up Grill, which opened its first location just over 20 years ago, is part of a national brand with locations scattered across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. According to the restaurant’s website, Ocala is the first location to open in the state of Florida. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch foods, which are served all day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and specializes in classic breakfast combinations, eggs benedict, and sandwiches.
Shuckin’ Shack is a seafood restaurant that prides itself on high quality, sustainably-sourced seafood. The restaurant has franchises across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, with Ocala also being their first location in the Sunshine State. According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, they hope to open the Ocala location in “early 2020.”
The restaurants will join the growing slate of businesses opening at Market Street at Heathbrook: Ocala Marshall’s opened its doors at the end of last month and Epic Theatres Ocala hopes to do the same before the end of the year.
They also join a slate of restaurants that has opened up in and around Ocala this year, including downtown newcomers Bank Street Patio Bar and The Black Sheep on Broadway.
