Local musician’s friends reaching out for support after mother’s sudden passing

A local musician’s friends are reaching out to the community for support in light of the sudden passing of his mother.

Alex Perrin is an accomplished musician and the founder of Within Arms Reach, a band based in Ocala, Florida. He has recorded and released multiple original songs over the past decade, and his band, which he founded over 10 years ago, recently performed alongside Red Jumpsuit Apparatus at a show in the city.

Earlier this month, Alex’s life was forever changed when his mother, Teri Perrin, passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurism just 11 days before her 65th birthday.

Perrin shared this touching message to his late mother on Facebook just days after her passing:

You, my blessing, my friend, my heart. You are the best part of my life, this existence. I am, because of you. There will never be a greater gift, a better reason, a brighter light. I miss you. I love you mom”

Alex’s friends took to social media in light of the circumstances to ask the community for their support:

It is with a heavy heart we come to our community, family, and friends to help our amazing friend Alex Perrin in time of need. On 11/11/19, Alex’s mother Teri Perrin unexpectedly passed on. Her beautiful soul has not left us, but instead continuing her spiritual path in peace and grace. Teri is a friend, a mother, and a mentor to many. She will forever be a light in our lives. Alex is her only family and has been left with 100% financial responsibility. To allow Alex a loving space to begin the healing process, any and all support is greatly appreciated. If you do not have cash app and would like to donate personally you can get ahold of Kelsey Stokes or Russell Tingley.

To know Alex Perrin is to love him. He is a good friend, a great man, and a son that loved his mother like only a son could.

If you or someone you know would like to help Alex with the costs associated with his mother’s passing, please consider donating to him on Cash App (DivineTraveller) or through PayPal (Alex.Perrin@live.com).
