Ocala preparing to host ‘Art Outside the Lines’ at Tuscawilla Art Park

The City of Ocala is continuing the 2021 Spring Art Park Series with “Art Outside the Lines.”

The interactive art and music event will take place Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tuscawilla Art Park, located at 213 N.E. Fifth St. Those attending can celebrate and support public art in Ocala with art-themed activities, artisan vendors with artwork for sale, local cultural arts non-profits providing free art activities, food trucks and live musical performances by Caly and Megan and the Greg Snider Trio. The Junior League of Ocala will provide take-home art activities for children while supplies last.

General admission is free and open to the public. Those who wish to upgrade their experience can purchase a $15 Curator Pass that includes two guided public art tours on a bus and/or tram with complimentary water, art-themed garden games and prizes and a free beverage (includes alcohol) sponsored by Tri-Eagle Sales and served by Marion Mobile Bar & Bubbles.

Art-themed garden games will include Jackson Pollock Balloon Dart Painting, Pin the Ear on Van Gogh, Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Knockdown and more. Additionally, a caricature artist will have a portrait booth available to Curator Pass holders as schedule permits and while supplies last. Guided walking art tours will take Curator Pass holders to explore public art in Downtown Ocala and West Ocala.
