Carol Ruth Burdorf, 87, Okahumpka, Florida went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2021 at Ruleme Center in Eustis, Florida surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born on December 15, 1933 in Washington, D.C. to her parents Allen Glascoe and Ruth (Lamore) Glascoe. Had worked for many years at Lake Community Hospital in the Obstetrical Department, where she served many-many mothers and their newborn infants. She had also worked for Dr. Elmer in his practice for many years as well. Carol was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where she had served in the Medical Field. She was a dedicated member of The First Baptist Church of Leesburg and had also been an honorary member of the Junior Womens Club of Leesburg.
Carol is survived by her loving daughters: Karen DeBay and her husband, Bruce, Barbara Smith and her husband, John, Linda Cook and her husband Mark; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ralph Allen Glascoe, and a beloved grandson, Jason DeBay.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 11:00AM at Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel in Leesburg with Pastor Gary Blanchard officiating. The burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at 2:00PM. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 10:00AM till the hour of service at Page-Theus Funeral Home.
