In the past two months, over 50 local restaurants have had food inspections completed with no further action needed in Ocala.

Records with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation show that most Marion County and Ocala restaurants pass health inspections regularly.

That list includes a variety of restaurants, from fast food, to casual dining, to sit-down and fine dining restaurants.

Multiple fast food restaurants including Wendy’s, Hardee’s, Taco Bell, Sonic, and Subway have all passed inspections in the past month with no further action needed.

Miller’s Ale House, Souther Pig and Cattle Company, and a collection of other restaurants met inspection standards upon second visits.

Although a few restaurants had or have warnings issued, the vast majority comply upon a call back or follow up inspection.

In recent weeks, two restaurants have been shut down as a result of failed health inspections. Bank Street Patio Bar reopened after being closed for the weekend for failing multiple inspections within a two-day period on June 24 and June 25.

J Rocks Pizzeria failed its second inspection earlier this year after its first in March 2021.

Food inspection reports are made public daily by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
