An Ocala man was found guilty of murdering his ex-wife and will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Bo Pete Jeffrey was sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty for the 2018 murder of his wife, Lisa Jeffrey. Jeffrey was sentenced to life in prison by Judge Steven G. Rogers of Florida’s Fifth Judicial Circuit Court on July 15.
On the evening of Lisa’s birthday party, November 5, 2018, Jeffrey became engaged in a physical altercation with Lisa. Jeffrey struck and beat Lisa until she was deceased, and concealed her deceased, decomposing body in plastic garbage bags underneath a bed inside his RV camper.Â
Authorities were notified on November 28, 2018, and after making contact with Bo Pete in his home, eventually obtained a search warrant.
Nearly a month passed before a search warrant was obtained and Lisa’s body was discovered.
