Rebecca Meredith Tingley, age 83, of Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023, in hospice care in Ocala, FL. Rebecca was born in East Corinth, Maine to Kenneth Greenleaf Hill and Evelyn Elvira (Duran) Hill on February 5,1940 and was one of eleven children.

Rebecca (Becky) attended high school in East Corinth, Maine and went to New Brunswick Bible Institute for a year where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Tingley. Becky spent all of her life doing what she loved, being a homemaker and mother to her family. She enjoyed daily Bible reading and circle word puzzle books. She loved to bake for everyone, especially chocolate chip cookies, which were sought after treats at church functions. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren have many memories baking with her. Violet, her oldest great granddaughter, loved making chocolate no bake cookies. She taught her son, Lee, her secrets of pie making. She was an active member of church her entire life, teaching Sunday school, serving on various committees, and participating in activities where she was serving God, always willing to share what God had given to her with others and teaching generosity to her family. Someone was always invited home from church to share in Sunday dinner.

Becky is remembered dearly by her children for being a caring mother and role model. She was proud of their accomplishments and love for God. Lynne, her daughter, remembers the many times while growing up when she would entertain her friends, teaching them to sew and cook. Her friends loved any opportunity to come to her house where they always knew they would be treated with kindness and love. Lee and his family remember all the times that mom supported them through the years, especially teaching the importance of God’s love and salvation for them and for others. Tom remembers sharing the love of sports and watching his midget football games. She babysat most of her grandchildren while their parents went to work creating a close bond with all of them. She kept special dolls and matchbox cars for her grandchildren and great grandchildren to play with when they came to visit. She saved all her change for them for trips to Florida and they always looked forward to birthday cards from her with a one dollar bill for every year of age.

Becky is survived by her children, Lee Anderson Tingley (Deborah Tingley), Lynne Tingley (Bruce Fournier), and Thomas Tingley (Laura Tingley); her grandchildren Danielle Noe (Sean Noe), Jordan Welner (Vanessa Tencati-Welner), Erika Smith, Michael Tingley, Nicholas Tingley, and Sara Amos (Joshua Amos); her great grandchildren, Hannah Taylor, Violet Noe, Blaze Noe, Christopher Smith, Benjamin Smith, Everlee Amos, and Keira Amos. She also had numerous brothers, brother-in-laws, sisters, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Tingley, parents, several siblings, and a grandson, Randall Welner, Jr.

Memorial services will be held privately for family and the burial will be held at a later date in East Corinth, ME. Memorial donations can be made to WestPoint Baptist Church, 11525 West Highway 40, Ocala, FL 34481.
