Wallet thief wanted by Marion deputies after using stolen credit cards at several stores

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman who allegedly stole a victim’s wallet at an Ocala restaurant last week and used the victim’s credit cards at several local stores.

On Thursday, December, 7, an MCSO deputy responded to the Oak Room Bar & Grill in Ocala in reference to an incident involving theft and fraud. The victim stated that she had dined at the restaurant two days prior, and she had left her wallet there, according to the sheriff’s office.

MCSO stated that the victim’s wallet contained her iPhone, multiple bank cards, ID cards, and around $500 in cash.

The victim later received notifications from her bank stating that someone had unsuccessfully attempted to use the stolen cards at Walmart for $546.48 and at Publix for $141.60. In addition, the victim was notified that one of her stolen credit cards had been used at two separate Lowe’s locations for a total of $1,411.84.

An MCSO Property Crimes detective began an investigation and obtained surveillance footage of the female suspect (pictured below) who had allegedly used the victim’s stolen cards.
