The Ocala Police Department is investigating a shooting incident at a local apartment complex that left two people wounded on Sunday night.
At around 9:20 p.m., OPD officers responded to Parkside Gardens Apartments located at 621 NW 2nd Street in reference to a shooting.
According to police, multiple shots were fired through the front door of an apartment. Two adults – an unidentified man and woman – were struck, and officers applied a tourniquet to one of the victims.
Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries deemed “non-life-threatening.”
OPD detectives are actively investigating this incident. No further details were provided by police.
