A local entrepreneur has joined the food truck scene in Ocala with his take on vegan cuisine.
Nicely Seasoned Vegan celebrated its grand opening on December 18. The new food truck is stationed at 3102 W Silver Springs Boulevard.
Owned and operated by Joel Charlemagne, the new business features a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and other dishes that are all 100% vegan.
Appetizers include fries, fried plantains, steamed cabbage, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese.
The food truck also serves up meatless cheese burgers, Philly cheese-fakes, and plant-based chicken sandwiches like its Buffalo shh-Kan wrap.Â
In addition to the sandwiches and appetizers, Nicely Seasoned Vegan also serves up a plant-based beef stew, a rice jackfruit curry, and a plant-based ginger chicken served with broccoli.
A kids’ menu features vegan nuggets and fries, as well as a mac and cabbage option.

Although many restaurants in Ocala feature vegan food options, there are currently no restaurants that are solely dedicated to serving vegan cuisine.
Madras Cafe, which hoped to fill that void when it opened in 2022, was forced to close its doors this year.
