Two wanted for burglarizing vehicle at Ocala park

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who allegedly burglarized a vehicle at a local park, stole the victim’s belongings, and attempted to use the victim’s credit card at a local store.

On December 28, 2023, at around 12 p.m., the victim’s vehicle was forcibly entered while it was parked at Coehadjoe Park on NE 35th Street in Ocala. According to the sheriff’s office, the victim’s driver’s license, bank card, social security cards, and other personal belongings were stolen from the vehicle.

The victim informed investigators that she saw two male suspects drive away in a silver Hyundai Santa Fe with a temporary tag attached.

Shortly after the burglary was committed, the victim advised that someone had used her credit card to attempt a $209.61 transaction at the Walmart located on E Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.
