City hosting town hall meetings in March

The City of Ocala will host two town hall meetings next month to discuss a variety of topics affecting the downtown area.

On Thursday, March 7, the two meetings will be held at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) located at 15 SE Osceola Avenue. The first session will begin at noon, followed by a second session at 5:30 p.m.

Both meetings will cover the same topics.

According to the city, staff will cover multiple topics during the meetings, including but not limited to the second parking garage, the downtown parking program, loading zones, future pedestrian improvements, underground trash receptacles, and lighting.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with city staff in an open forum setting, though the topics covered during these meetings will be limited to those within the jurisdiction of the City of Ocala.

The city encourages residents to attend and participate in the conversation.
