Emergency closure of I-75 on-ramp at SR 200

State officials announced the temporary closure of the Interstate 75 southbound on-ramp at State Road 200 this evening as crews continue to make emergency asphalt repairs.

The Florida Department of Transportation issued the traffic advisory just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24. The closure will be in effect until 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

Earlier Wednesday, the department announced temporary closures of the middle and outside lanes of I-75 southbound near S.R. 200 due to the same emergency asphalt repairs.

Although the length of the temporary lane closures was previously unknown, this evening’s statement from FDOT stated that the two lanes will remain closed near mile marker 349 throughout the repair, which is scheduled to be completed by tomorrow morning.

As a result of the repairs, motorists traveling southwest on S.R. 200 will be detoured to turn left on SW 60th Avenue, left on SW 95th Street, right on SW 49th Avenue Road, and left on County Road (C.R.) 484 to I-75.

Motorists traveling northeast on S.R. 200 will be detoured to turn right on SW 43rd Street Road/42nd Street/32nd Street, right on C.R. 475, and right on C.R. 484 to I-75.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, according to FDOT.
