Crews are preparing the site of a new housing development in northeast Ocala that will be constructed by the largest home builder in the country.
Emerson Pointe is one of the newest projects for D.R. Horton in the city of Ocala. The new community will be situated south of NE 35th Street and north of NE 28th Street, between NE 19th Avenue and NE 22nd Court.
Although limited information is available about the new community, the developer says the homes will feature open-concept floorplans that are “perfect for entertaining and spending quality time with family and friends.”
The homes will be constructed from concrete block and will come equipped with stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, smart home systems, ceramic tile flooring, and modern home finishes and fixtures.
The community will feature a collection of amenities including a pool, a cabana, a dog park, and a playground.
Billed as “America’s Builder,” D.R. Horton is currently managing several projects in Ocala that are in various stages of completion. The developer recently received approval from city council members for its Winding Oaks community, which will add hundreds of homes to southwest Ocala.
In recent weeks, D.R. Horton also celebrated the grand opening of the Towns at Laurel Commons, a townhome community just south of the Winding Oaks site.
Emerson Pointe is less than a couple miles away from Millwood Estates, which is also under construction in northeast Ocala.
