Ocala-News.com has received dozens more photos showing trees that were downed by Hurricane Milton onto cars, homes, fences, power lines, and roadways across Marion County. As of 6:30 p.m., there are still approximately 50,000 local residents without power.

To report damage to the Marion County Property Appraiser, file a report online, or call 352-368-8300. Most Marion County government services, including the property appraiser’s office, will reopen on Friday.

Earlier this morning, Ocala-News.com reported that approximately 70,000 residents in Marion County were without power.

Utility crews have been working around the clock to restore power across the area. Currently, outage maps from the four major utility companies show that tens of thousands of individuals in Marion County are still without power as of this evening.

That includes just under 3,400 Ocala Electric Utility customers, over 13,000 SECO Energy customers, 2,729 Clay Electric customers, and 31,000 Duke Energy customers.
