A new, large, liquor drive-thru and tobacco shop has opened near the intersection of County Road 484 and Interstate 75 in Ocala.
Liquor Lane and is now open at 2060 SW County Road 484. The 4,500-square-foot structure features approximately 3,375 square feet dedicated to the liquor store and 1,125 square feet of space dedicated to Flayvor Tobacco Shop.
The shops are owned by Fevil Patel, Bipinkumar Patel, and Rajesh Patel, who filed revised plans for the structure earlier this year. Those revised plans came nearly two years after the original plans were first submitted for the site in September 2023.
Liquor Lane offers a full collection of beer, wine, and alcohol for purchase in the store or through its drive-thru lane. Flayvor sells a variety of tobacco products and smoking accessories.
Both stores in south Ocala are situated near at least three other similar businesses, including 484 Liquors, Terrace Liquors, and I Roll Up Smoke Shop, all of which are less than three miles away.
Across the city of Ocala, there are more than a dozen and a half businesses that primarily sell liquor, not including stores managed by grocers like Publix and Walmart.
Less than a mile west of the new Liquor Lane, Publix recently erected signs at a nearly 20-acre site where it plans to build a new grocery store. That location may feature a liquor store when it opens, although that has not been confirmed through county plans.
