The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, aided by Marion County Sheriff’s Office personnel, is still investigating the discovery of human remains in Marion Oaks in October.
Marion County Sheriff’s Office personnel have been assisting the FDLE with the agency’s ongoing investigation into the deceased human remains that were found in the 3200 block of SW 27th Circle in Marion Oaks on October 17.
Multiple readers have shared images with Ocala-News.com in the past weeks of the investigation. This week, a photo was shared on social media from the site mistakenly suggesting it was a separate incident.
The remains in Marion Oaks were discovered just a couple of days before a different set of human remains was recovered in Summerfield.
At the time of the incidents, MCSO reported that there was no evidence to suggest the remains collected at either scene were related to each other or any active cases.
