Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a vehicle crash at the newly opened 7-Brew Coffee drive-thru in Belleview on Wednesday afternoon.
Marion County Fire Rescue emergency personnel responded to the property located at 5530 SE Abshier Boulevard at approximately 5:15 p.m. Witnesses at the scene reported that a truck drove directly into the drive-thru area, colliding heavily with the standalone coffee structure.
Photos captured from the scene immediately following the collision show extensive, severe structural damage to the modular drive-thru building.
The impact crumpled large metal panels, collapsed portions of the canopy, shattered the building’s exterior framework, and sent storage racks and inventory boxes tumbling out onto the pavement.
A white truck involved in the incident appeared heavily damaged and wedged deep into the side of the stand.
At this time, the exact cause of the accident is under investigation. MCFR’s active call list shows that at least one individual was transported to a local hospital, although authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of any injuries as of 5:45 p.m.
The 7-Brew Coffee in Belleview is a very recent addition to the southern Marion County landscape.
The location first opened its window to customers in mid-January of this year.
