A school resource officer found a suspicious message scrawled on the wall of a Citra school.
The resource officer, who is a Marion County sheriff’s deputy, was checking the bathrooms Wednesday at North Marion High School, located at 151 W Hwy. 329, for security reasons.
When the deputy entered an upstairs boys restroom in one of the school’s buildings, he noticed the message: “This school will git shot up in two weaks” on a wall, a sheriff’s office report states.
The deputy contacted an assistant principal and made him aware of the situation. A custodian immediately was sent to remove the words. And the deputy noted that he didn’t yet have a suspect, the report says.
