87-year-old Pennsylvania man killed in collision

An 87-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed in a collision Tuesday morning in Polk County.

Anna Robson, 22, of St. Louis, Missouri was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla eastbound on Interstate 4 in the center lane near the 43 milepost, while 87-year-old Andrew Flager of Levittown, Pennsylvania was driving a 2012 Cadillac CTS eastbound in the outside lane, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. Robson improperly changed lanes and collided with Flager’s vehicle, causing Flager’s vehicle to travel off the roadway onto the outside shoulder and collide with a roadway traffic sign, eventually overturning, the report stated.

Flager died at the scene of the accident. His passenger, Edythe Flager, 87, who is also from Levittown, was transported to Lakeland Regional Hospital due to critical injuries. Robson had three other passengers and all were not injured. Charges are pending.
