A Marion County school bus collided with another vehicle Thursday afternoon in Marion County.
Jameika Brown-Little, 32, of Reddick was driving a school bus full of 14 students southbound on NW 53rd Court approaching a left curve in the roadway at the intersection of NW 57th Lane, while Melissa Coleman, 21, of Ocala was driving a 2000 Ford Taurus westbound on NW 57th Lane, approaching a right curve in the roadway at the intersection of NW 53rd Court, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. Brown-Little failed to maintain a single lane as she negotiated the curve at the intersection and traveled into the oncoming traffic lane, striking the front left of Coleman’s vehicle, the report stated.
No injuries were reported on the school bus. Coleman was transported to Monroe Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. Brown-Little was charged for failing to drive in a single lane.
