An Ocala man driving a stolen Land Rover was arrested Sunday morning on State Road 44 in Wildwood.

Thomas Marvin Dukes, 52, of Ocala, told a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy he had borrowed the vehicle a week earlier and had used it for “running some errands,” according to an arrest report. The owner of the vehicle had reported it as stolen to the Ocala Police Department.

The deputy found that Dukes was driving on a suspended license.

He was arrested on charges of driving while license suspended and vehicle theft, and he was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $6,000.
