Man arrested for trespassing in mobile home gives false name to Marion County deputies

Richard Sullivan Bloodsworth Jr

A man who was living in an empty mobile home in Weirsdale was arrested Monday afternoon.

According to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were called to a home in the 16200 block of S. Hwy 25 after a homeowner called to report a man, later identified as 53-year-old Richard Sullivan Bloodsworth Jr., for trespassing on his property. The homeowner told deputies that he spoke with Bloodsworth about a week ago and had told him to be out of the trailer by this past Saturday, but he didn’t leave.

The homeowner said he hadn’t received any rent from Bloodsworth and wasn’t even sure of his name, the report says.

A witness at the home confirmed the Bloodworth had been living in the mobile home about two weeks. He said that Bloodsworth “randomly showed up one day and moved into the property.”

After deputies failed to make contact with Bloodsworth at the front door of the mobile home, they entered through the back door and located him in a back bedroom. He admitted that he didn’t have permission to be on the property and had been told to leave about a week earlier, the report says.

When deputies asked Bloodsworth to identify himself, he told them his name was Richard Sullivine and claimed to be 36. Deputies believed he was much older and failed to get a valid result from a Marion County teletype operator on the name Bloodsworth provided.

Deputies again asked Bloodsworth his name and this time he provided the correct information, which was confirmed through identification in his wallet.

A records check showed that Bloodsworth had an active Marion County bench warrant for failure to appear in court for driving with a suspended license, the report says.

Bloodsworth was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with trespassing and providing a false name to a law enforcement officer. He was held on $3,500 bond.
