Marion County UF/IFAS Extension Service is hosting a free hurricane preparedness workshop.
The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at 2232 NE Jacksonville Road in Ocala. Topics discussed will include: tree and landscape damage and reduction, pond and waterfront management, home and water supply protection, and legal and financial affairs.

Marion County UF/IFAS Extension Service is a cooperation between the Marion County Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida. Extension agents work to extend the research and resources of the university to Marion County residents through educational programs and services.
