Robert J. ‘Bob’ Tudor

Robert J. ‘Bob’ Tudor, 70, of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2018. Born on June 25, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to his proud parents Charles and Marie (Busick) Tudor.

Bob was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years, then worked for NASA, GSA, NOA, and the Census Bureau, where he was the operations property manager. In 1984 he was named Outstanding Young Man of America and worked under President Reagan. He was NCO of the year in 1977-78, Administrator of the Year in 1976 and Instructor of the Year in 1977. He was in the Civil Air Patrol from 1984-1988 and received the Bronze Award from the Census Bureau Department of Commerce. He also spent his time helping a Missionary in Uganda. Bob loved to tell jokes and spend his days fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Helen Tudor and his brother, John Tudor.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Emily (Purdy) Tudor; his daughters: Dawn Hawkins and Lois Light; his siblings James Tudor, Marie Tudor, Herbert Tudor and Charles Tudor; his grandchildren Kelly Mead (Tudor), Chad Tudor, Emily Tudor, Abbey Tudor, and Charles Hawkins, and his great grandchildren Addyson Mead and Madelynn Mead.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11AM at Ocala West United Methodist Church, 9330 SW 105th Street, Ocala, with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, at 1PM with U.S. Air Force honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, from 5-7PM at Roberts Funeral Home, Bruce West Chapel, Ocala, Florida.
