FHP looking for hit-and-run driver who killed 72-year-old woman in Ocala

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver who killed a 72-year-old woman crossing a residential roadway Saturday night in Ocala.

Christine Sullivan had been walking with 74-year-old Eileen Tillery of Ocala at 7:37 p.m. in a residential area at NE 25TH Avenue and NE 38TH Street north of Pearl Britain Plaza when both were struck by an unknown vehicle that was traveling southbound on NE 25th Avenue, according to a report from FHP.

Both women were transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center where Sullivan was pronounced dead. Tillery suffered serious injuries.
