Failure to pay $175 tab at Ocala strip club earns Missouri man trip to jail

A Missouri man was jailed early Sunday morning after he couldn’t pay his tab at an Ocala gentleman’s club.

Zachariah Parrish Jones, 31, of Kansas City, Mo., was arrested early Sunday morning at Body Shots Gentlemans Club in Ocala after he couldn’t settle his bill.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to Body Shots Gentlemans Club, at 3750 Pine Ave. in Ocala, and when he arrived, a security guard told him that 31-year-old Zachariah Parrish Jones, of Kansas City, Mo., couldn’t pay his $175 tab. He said the club’s manager wanted to press charges against Jones, a sheriff’s office report states.

After the manager confirmed his desire to press charges, the deputy spoke with Jones. He claimed he would be able to pay his tab after he accessed his bank account and transferred funds. He said he could use an app to take care of the transfer, but his cell phone was dead.

After charging his phone, Jones said he was unable to access his bank account. After being read his rights, he admitted he only had $150 and couldn’t pay the tab, the report says.
Jones was transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with defrauding an innkeeper (under $300). He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 21 at 9 a.m.
