An Ocala woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly busted a man’s lip during an argument.
Michelle Erin Krueger, 42, told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy she went to the victim’s residence at around 5:30 p.m. to pick up her kids and take them to cheer practice. She said she talked to the victim and became angry, and she swung her hand toward his face. Krueger said she didn’t recall if she actually struck the victim, according to the sheriff’s office report.
The victim said he and Krueger got into a verbal altercation and she slapped him in the face, resulting in him having a swollen lip. He said Krueger also pushed him. The victim said Krueger didn’t hit him hard, the report said.
The deputy observed a puffy red cheek and swollen lip on the victim, who later tried to say the swollen lip was an old injury. The deputy also observed skin missing inside the victim’s lip, according to the report.
Krueger was charged with simple battery and taken to the Marion County Jail. She was released Tuesday on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Marion County Court on Oct. 1.
