The Ocala Police Department is warning owners of popular Ford pickup trucks to be on the lookout for vehicle thieves.
Officers with the Property Crimes Division are asking the owners of Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks to make sure their vehicles are secured, parked in well-lit areas and near main offices or entrances that have a likelihood of security cameras or higher foot traffic.
Police say these kinds of pickups have been targeted for thefts at hotel parking areas along State Road 40 and State Road 200.
