Silver Springs woman gives false name to avoid warrant

Sarahanne Marie Holley

A Silver Springs woman said she gave a false name to law enforcement because she knew she had a warrant and didn’t want to go to jail.

Sarahanne Marie Holley, 27, of 13195 NE 39th Place, was a passenger in a vehicle reported stolen in New York that was recovered Wednesday in Ocklawaha. When asked for her name, she said it was Heather Rae Holley and gave a birth date in July 1992, but a computer check showed she did not match the photo in the database for that name, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office report.

Using a rapid ID scanner, a deputy was able to correctly identify her and discover she had an active warrant out of Marion County. Holley said she knew she had a warrant and that is why she gave the false name, the report said.

Holley was charged with giving a false ID to law enforcement and taken to the Marion County Jail. No bond or court information was available.
