Marion detectives seeking help in solving homicide at Rainbow Gathering

Marion County sheriff’s detectives are seeking help in solving a homicide that took place Friday at a Rainbow Gathering in Silver Springs.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to the event in the 2200 block of N.E. 196th Terrace Road at about 10:40 p.m. after receiving calls about a shooting. When they arrived, they located the victim, 41-year-old Larry DeWayne Dugger, who was being tended to by several bystanders, a sheriff’s office report states.

Paramedics from Marion County Fire Rescue arrived and transported Dugger to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
