Prior to deputies arriving, call notes reported there was fighting happening at the location.

The victim initially said nothing physical happened but the deputies on scene observed fresh and clear injuries to the victim, despite 36-year-old Stevie Allen also initially claiming nothing physical happened, according to the sheriff’s report.

Allen said he was in a verbal argument after he told the victim to exit a vehicle. Allen then stated the victim “may” have become injured from him “unintentionally” closing the trunk on her arm when she was grabbing something out of the trunk, according to the report.

The victim claimed her injuries were from a fall but the injuries appeared fresh. The victim had bruising on her right eye and neck area. Her left ear was also bleeding, the deputy reported.

A deputy found an earring matching the victim’s other earring and reported it appeared the earring had been ripped off the victim’s ear during the fight.

Allen later admitted to pulling the victim out of the vehicle by her wrist and ankle. The victim confirmed this with the deputy, according to the report.

Allen was subsequently arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail. He was booked on June 7 with a bond set at $1,000. Allen was charged with battery and a court date is set for July 7 at 1 p.m., jail records show.
