Mae Eva Woodbury Shuler Barber  transitioned into eternal life on Friday, May 28, 2021. She was born January 6, 1922 in Minneola, Florida to the late Henry and Marie Woodbury.

Mae Eva completed her early education in the Marion County School System and received her bachelor’s degree in English at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University in 1946. She was an educator in several Florida communities, retiring in 1982. She was a lifelong active member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, served in the choir and participated in various church activities.

Mae Eva married Solomon Shuler Jr. and had 3 children from that union. In July 1977, she married Lenward Barber. She was preceded in death by one son Eric, her husband, and all of her siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Leonard (Harriet) and Thomas (Loretta) Shuler, 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 55 S. W. Third Avenue, Ocala, FL, on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11am.

Viewing will be at Brown Memorial Funeral Home, 706 S.W Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Ocala FL, Friday, June 11, 2021, 9am to 5pm.
