Eloise Sanchez Lynn McAfee, 96, of Ocala, FL, passed away April 20, 2022, at the Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, FL.
She was born July 13, 1925, in Lakeland, FL, to Florrie Delaney Sanchez and G. Denton Sanchez. Her family moved to Old Town, Dixie County, FL, when she was a child, where she lived until her marriage to Willie J. Lynn. They made their home in Jacksonville. She retired from Thermodyne Corp. as a bookkeeper and later married Mills B. McAfee. In 2008, she moved to Ocala to live with her daughter following the death of her husband and son.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wm. Palmer Lynn; brother, Aldon B. Sanchez; sisters, Catherine Hurst, Dorothy Scanlon, and Florence Hines; and husband, Mills B. McAfee.
She Survived by her daughter, Linda Lynn Francisco (Roger) of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Kimberly Cowherd (Rick) of San Antonio, TX, Kevin R. Francisco (Bella) of Englewood, CO, Ashley Steimman (Mike) of Howell, MI, and Auriel Weinberg (David) of Jacksonville, FL; and great grandchildren, Austin Maldonado of Austin, TX, Lindsay Maldonado of Dallas, TX, Tyler Maldonado of San Antonio, TX, Max, Nika, and Lilia Francisco of Englewood, CO, Chase and Harley Crowder of Jacksonville, FL, Alisa Weinberg, Janna and Jaden Weaver of Jacksonville, FL. Many nieces and nephews including her special niece, Patty Colson, who was a constant source of love and support, and nephew, Charles Hurst, who gathered all the family from far and wide for the yearly family reunion.
Visitation will be held at Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Avenue, on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, April 28th, 2022, at 12:30pm with entombment immediately following at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.
