The City of Ocala is inviting local solid waste providers to attend a forum that will be held next week.
On Wednesday, May 4 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the city’s Public Works and Growth Management Departments will host the forum at the MLK First Responders Campus Community Building, which is located at 615 NW Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue.
This free event will provide an opportunity for members of the solid waste community to connect with city officials regarding solid waste facilities and alternatives within the city limits. The information discussed during the forum will be used to update ordinances which will be reflective of current and future conditions surrounding waste management practices, according to a press release from the city.
The event is open to the public, and business professionals are encouraged to attend to provide their input.
