The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 76-year-old man who was last seen leaving his residence in Micanopy on Monday night.
Eric Gordon Huey was last seen on Monday, at approximately 8 p.m., leaving his home located in the 21600 block of NW 75th Avenue Road in Micanopy. He was wearing an orange shirt with the letters “Micanopy,” blue shorts, and black shoes, according to MCSO.
Eric wears glasses and is legally deaf. He was last seen driving a 2012 gray Toyota Tacoma with a camper topper bearing Florida specialty license plate “EHUEY.”
The sheriff’s office stated that Eric has shown “clear indications that he has an irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties,” which has caused concern for his well-being.
