During the early morning hours of April 21st, 2023, Rozanne Greenstein, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Originally from New York City, Rozanne spent much of her last 2 decades living in Lake and Marion Counties. Over the past year or so, Rozanne dealt honorably with rapid mental decline yet remained in mostly good spirits, lighting up rooms with her loving smile right up until her last days.
She is survived by her daughter Jodie Weinberg as well as her sons, Gregg & Andrew Greenstein, her brother Michael Fishman and his wife Karen.
Rozanne will also be missed by her 5 grandchildren: Justin, Emily, Amanda, James, & Kayden. Her first great grandchild Eleanor (age 8 months) lives in Denver and never got to meet her in person, but some of Rozanne’s most beautiful traits will surely be passed to Eleanor as well as to other future descendants for many generations to come.
Rozanne was pre-deceased by her adoring husband, Beryl of nearly 60 years and her brother Joel. She was a devoted wife to Beryl and a good friend to so many.
Rozanne was known for always having the best “gossip” and for preparing wonderful meals that were highlighted by serving so many hors d’ouevres that only a few hungry people could ever make it through her main courses or her seemingly endless dessert choices.
Rozanne will be buried alongside the love of her life (yup, still Beryl!) at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, Florida on Tuesday, April 25, at 12:00 PM.
