More people means more accidents, more traffic, and more subdivisions

To the Editor:

I have noticed more car accidents as we get more people here in Marion County. I’ve lived here in Marion County since September of 2015. Since then, the traffic to me has doubled. Many times I’ve been behind a slow poke doing 40-45 in a 55 limit. Sometimes, there’s one in each lane too. Then you got the crazy ones zipping in and out as they appear to be doing 60-70 in the 55 limit.

Now the land issue, I think is true too. Seeing more and more area’s becoming subdivisions with very small yards, houses too close together and too many HOA’s popping up. To me, an HOA is a type of prison. They keep you from doing things you’d like to do with a normal yard. Be nice to see country between homes. Does get warmer around the houses in an HOA place. Less trees.

Just seems like the county needs to slow down the subdivisions. Bigger a city or county gets, now I’m just thinking on this, but the bigger the city, the greater it can become a target of one of our enemies. Just thinking.
