To the Editor:
I agree with the reader here about garbage. I don’t have garbage service in the unincorporated area of Ocala, but I do take my garbage to the dump twice a week.
So, my problem is that I separate my bins with recyclables to feel better about dumping and help the environment. Every week, I take my recyclables to the dump, and the recyclable bins are full almost every time I go there. They tell me to just put it in the trash. So why do I bother trying?
It’s very sad that I try to be earth friendly and take the time to do recycling, and there is only one dumpster for it. I have never lived in a place that didn’t take it, and not have multiple bins to place it. That is why most houses near me just litter up the place.
Our services are not adequate for this area and it’s only getting bigger. Someone has to pull some cash out of their pockets and fix this if they want to keep Marion County clean as all their billboards advertise.
