Cheaper electric bills this time of year

A reader recently submitted a letter to Ocala-News.com in response to several Ocala residents who voiced concerns on high utility costs.

To the Editor:

We have Duke Energy and our bill went down $100 this month.

I don’t understand the issue of a power company making money. If they don’t, then who pays the lineman? The plant employees? The office staff?

Our bills are always cheaper this time of year – no a/c and no heat. And we have fans in every room that are always running.
