The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a 31-year-old man from Reddick after his body was found inside an SUV on the side of Interstate 75 in Columbia County on Tuesday morning.
At around 11:30 a.m., FHP was notified that an unresponsive man was inside a vehicle on the side of I-75 northbound, near mile marker 424, according to the incident report.
FHP stated that paramedics arrived on scene and observed the SUV on the side of the interstate. According to the report, the Reddick man was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No further details were released by FHP.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the investigation into the driver’s death is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
