Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be at a local Italian restaurant this week to help raise money for the Special Olympics.
On Friday, November 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., MCSO deputies will become celebrity waiters at Francesco’s Ristorante and Stone Fire Pizza located at 16770 S U.S. Highway 441 in Summerfield.
During the three-hour event, deputies will be taking orders and serving food to diners.
All money raised by the deputies throughout the event will benefit Special Olympics Florida, a nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver.
For more information, contact Sergeant Tom Tingue (352-843-4302) or Sergeant Juan Ocasio (352-266-4121).
