Dunnellon Christmas Parade to cause temporary road closures

The Dunnellon Christmas Parade will return on Saturday, December 2, and motorists can expect temporary road closures on several of the city’s streets.

Due to the festive parade, the following roads will be closed between the hours of 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday:

  • Chestnut Road, from Dunnellon Middle School to Cedar Street.
  • Cedar Street, from Chestnut Street to W Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • W Pennsylvania Avenue, from Cedar Street to U.S. 41.
  • SW Highway 484 (a.k.a. E Pennsylvania Avenue), from U.S. 41 to San Jose Boulevard.

The Dunnellon Chamber and Business Association is hosting the 2023 Christmas Parade. All participants will be in the county right-of-way.

Crews will place barricades and signs to detour traffic around the event. Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
