Tom E. Kilkenny
April 18, 1947 – November 26, 2023
Tom E. Kilkenny, age 76, of Silver Springs, passed away on the morning of November 26, 2023. He was born on April 18, 1947, to Earl and Ruth Kilkenny in Columbus, Ohio. He was reunited with the love of his life Sandy who passed away in February 2022. He worked in the Aerospace industry for 40 years.
Since 1973, he has been proud to be a Mason. He served as Master three times and in various offices with both Morning Star Lodge #94 Silver Springs, FL, and Mt. Gilead Lodge #206 Mt. Gilead, Ohio.
His passion was woodworking; he loved making small cars and trucks to give to children all over the world, leaving them unfinished because he knew the imagination of children would create masterpieces that they could reimagine. He also built beautiful furniture that he gave to his children and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his three children Sonya (Phoenix), Shawn (Jo), and Daniel (Thresha), five grandchildren Rebecca (Bradley), Nicholas, Michael, Erica (Cody) Kilkenny, and Ember Locklear, and two great-grandchildren Declan and Cedric Brown.
There will be a celebration of life on December 31st, 2023, at 2pm at the Marion Dunn Lodge F & AM. In lieu of flowers, Tom would have been honored if contributions were made to either the Shriners Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.
